Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join Navicent Health Medical Center's Respiratory Therapy Services. You will administer prescribed therapies, monitor mechanical and non-invasive ventilation, and document outcomes to ensure optimal oxygenation and patient safety.

Requires NBRC-credentialed RRT, state licensure, and BLS. 2+ years of critical care experience is preferred; BSRT is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate's degree required; BA/BS preferred.
• Credentialed as RRT by NBRC; licensed in the work state.
• BLS for healthcare providers required; advanced facility certifications may apply.

Responsibilities

• Administers oxygen delivery and therapeutic procedures per protocol.
• Operates and monitors mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates therapies and informs plans of care with the team.
• Documents results and communicates with care team per regulations.
• Performs emergency respiratory care and analyzes blood gases.
