Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care within the Navicent Health Medical Center Respiratory Therapy Services. The role features a 36-hour work week with a 7A-7P schedule and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

The position requires NBRC-registered RT, state licensure, and Basic Life Support. Education includes an associate degree in respiratory therapy; a BSRT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.
• RRT credential and state licensure required.
• BLS for healthcare providers required; advanced facility/department certification may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Administers and monitors prescribed respiratory procedures to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Performs diagnostic procedures as outlined in policy and documents therapy results.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical/non-invasive ventilation and communicates therapy plans to the care team.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes recommendations on plans of care and patient education.
