Qualifications

• Current License as a Respiratory Therapist required and NBRC credentials.
• BLS certification current; ACLS within one year; PALS recommended.
• Minimum 6 months clinical experience in respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and maintains ventilatory support for adults and children in all areas.
• Evaluates patient condition and documents assessments; consults physicians.
• Delivers respiratory care and O2 therapy per orders; evaluates results.
• Participates in Code Blue and Rapid Response teams; draws ABGs and manages airways.
• Performs arterial puncture and analyzes blood gas values.
• Assists with procedures such as bronchoscopy and imaging as directed.
• Performs diagnostic studies like oximetry, CO2 monitoring, and bedside PFTs.
• Communicates findings and contributes to care plans with physicians.
