Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and manage patients with pulmonary deficiencies.

You will set up ventilator support, perform diagnostic studies, and participate in critical care teams to ensure high-quality respiratory care across patient populations. The role requires a NJ license and NBRC credentials, with a minimum of six months’ clinical experience.

Qualifications

• New Jersey license required for Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC credentials required.
• Minimum of 6 months clinical experience (may be concurrent with training).

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain ventilatory support for adults and children in critical care areas.
• Wean patients in coordination with physicians or protocols.
• Evaluate patient condition and document assessments; consult on therapy.
• Administer respiratory therapy and oxygen modalities per orders.
• Monitor and evaluate therapy outcomes.
• Participate in Code Blue and Rapid Response teams.
• Draw arterial blood gases and manage airways.
• Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy and GI lab as needed.
• Label and handle specimens properly.
