Qualifications

• Current License as a Respiratory Therapist (NBRC).
• BLS certification is required; ACLS within one year of hire, PALS recommended.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and maintains ventilatory support in adult and pediatric patients.
• Evaluates patient, documents assessment and findings, and consults with physicians.
• Administers respiratory care and O2 therapy according to orders or protocols.
• Participates in Code Blue and Rapid Response teams.
• Draws arterial blood gases and performs arterial puncture on adults and children.
• Assists physician with bronchoscopy at bedside, fluoroscopy and GI Lab.
