Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver and supervise respiratory care, oxygen services, and diagnostic support for patients from neonatal to geriatric. You will perform therapeutic procedures and monitor patient responses, documenting findings per policy.

The role requires an Associate's Degree, current state license, NBRC CRT certification, and BLS; ACLS/PALS should be obtained within 90 days of hire. Collaboration with physicians and staff ensures safe, effective care.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory procedures per policy.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and coworkers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures and supports ABG analysis and EKGs.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of procedures and renews certifications as needed.
• Attends staff meetings and supports patient safety and quality care.
