Job summary

Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide invasive and non-invasive respiratory care under physician supervision, evaluating cardiopulmonary function and treating impairments across neonatal to geriatric patients.

The role requires OH licensure, RRT within 90 days, and active BLS status (NRP for NICU). Strong communication and ICU exposure are preferred, with a comprehensive Mercy Health benefits package included.

Qualifications

• Must be registered by the National Board on Respiratory Care or certified if within six months of graduation.
• Must attain RRT within 90 days of graduation or hire date.
• Must hold an active license to practice Respiratory Care in Ohio.
• Must maintain Healthcare Provider status in BLS; NRP required for NICU.
• Must understand drugs used in respiratory care procedures.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Clinical ICU, emergency care or related experience preferred.
• Comply with Clinical Ladder Policy and Mercy Health core values.

Responsibilities

• Provide invasive and non-invasive respiratory care under general supervision.
• Evaluate cardiopulmonary function and treat impairment.
• Assess treatment effectiveness and patient response.
• Provide care for neonate to geriatric patients.
• Operate ventilators and perform patient assessment and arterial punctures.
