Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of Respiratory Therapy or have an associate degree equivalency.
• Successful passage of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) exam.

Responsibilities

• Assess the respiratory care needs of patients.
• Set up and maintain respiratory equipment.
• Perform blood gas analyses and respiratory function tests.
• Participate in patient rounds.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Provide patient and family respiratory care instruction.
• Assist in training and evaluating students and new employees.
