Job summary

Buckeye Care & Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to grow our post-acute NIV program in collaboration with nursing leadership. You will assess and manage BiPAP/CPAP therapy, perform respiratory treatments, educate residents and families, and document in the EMR.

Responsibilities include collaboration with physicians and staff, supporting admissions, and participating in quality improvement. Night shift is 10:00 PM–10:00 AM with three 12-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License is required.
• RRT or CRT credential required.
• Willingness to learn non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP).
• Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care or acute care preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, initiate, monitor, and manage BiPAP/CPAP NIV therapy.
• Perform respiratory assessments and therapy as ordered.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory equipment.
• Document assessments, treatments, and therapy in EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, admissions and leadership.
• Support growth of the facility's respiratory program.
• Provide on-call respiratory coverage as needed.
