Buckeye Care & Rehabilitation in Lancaster, OH, is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to grow our post-acute respiratory program. The role centers on non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) and collaborative care with nursing leadership to support admissions and deliver high-quality respiratory therapy to residents.

You will assess, initiate, monitor NIV, perform respiratory treatments, educate residents and families, and document care in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• Must hold Ohio license as Respiratory Care Professional.
• RRT or CRT credential required.
• Experience with NIV (BiPAP/CPAP) preferred or willingness to learn.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Strong assessment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, initiate, monitor, and manage BiPAP/CPAP (NIV) therapy.
• Perform respiratory assessments and identify residents who may benefit.
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on equipment and therapies.
• Document assessments, treatments, and therapy compliance in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, admissions, and leadership.
• Support respiratory evaluations for prospective admissions.
• Contribute to development and growth of the program.
• Participate in quality improvement and staff education.
• Provide additional coverage including on-call as needed.

Looking for an opportunity to help build something new? Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, Buckeye Care & Rehabilitation is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist to help grow our respiratory therapy program in a post-acute setting.
