Job summary

Buckeye Care & Rehabilitation is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to help grow our NIV-based program in a post-acute setting. Under the Director of Nursing, you will assess, initiate, monitor, and document BiPAP/CPAP therapy and related respiratory services.

You will collaborate with nursing, admissions, and clinical leadership to support admissions, educate staff and residents, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License is required.
• RRT or CRT credential is necessary.
• Experience with NIV (BiPAP/CPAP) preferred; willingness to learn accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assess, initiate, monitor, and manage BiPAP/CPAP (NIV) therapy.
• Perform respiratory assessments and identify residents needing services.
• Administer respiratory treatments as ordered.
• Assist residents with incentive spirometer use and pulmonary hygiene.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory equipment and therapies.
• Document assessments and therapies in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, admissions, and leadership.
• Support program growth and respiratory education for staff.
• Provide occasional on-call coverage to maintain services.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, Buckeye Care & Rehabilitation is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist to help grow our respiratory therapy program in a post-acute setting.
