Job summary

Buckeye Care & Rehabilitation is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist to grow our post-acute respiratory therapy program. The role centers on non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) and works with nursing leadership to support admissions and high-quality care for residents.

Responsibilities include NIV management, assessments, treatments, documentation in the EMR, and collaboration with physicians and leadership to expand services.

Qualifications

• Licensed respiratory care professional (Ohio).
• RRT or CRT credential required.
• Experience with NIV (BiPAP/CPAP) preferred or willingness to learn.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or acute care preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, initiate, monitor, and manage BiPAP/CPAP (NIV) therapy.
• Perform respiratory assessments and identify residents who may benefit from respiratory services.
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory equipment and therapies.
• Document assessments, treatments, and therapy in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, admissions, and clinical leadership.
• Support respiratory evaluations for prospective admissions and potential growth of the program.
• Provide on-call support to maintain respiratory services.
