Job summary

Required credentials include an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), a current Respiratory Therapist license, NBRC RRT certification, and BLS; ACLS within 90 days is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures according to established policy and procedure.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information regarding each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides care based on patient age and needs.
• Adapts communication and approach to each patient population.
