Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide care to patients from neonatal to geriatric ages, including oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support.

Responsibilities include performing routine and advanced therapies, documenting patient data, and educating patients and co-workers on treatment plans. A current state license and NBRC RRT are required; ACLS within 90 days of hire is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory care is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory therapies per policy.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures and monitors patient response.
