Job summary

BayCare Health System's Winter Haven Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Care Services team on days in a full-time capacity. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional service to the community in Winter Haven.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RRT license with NBRC credential, CPR certification, and be prepared to obtain NRP, ACLS, and PALS within the stated timeframes.

Qualifications

• RRT license active and NBRC credential

• NRP must be obtained within 6 months
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months
• PALS certification

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under physician orders and hospital protocols
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight
• Performs diagnostic testing and emergency/critical care as needed

The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care

Certifications and Licensures

Required:

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
• PALS (Pediatric) -

Preferred Education

Required Education:

• Technical Respiratory Therapy
• Associate's Respiratory Therapy -

Preferred Experience

Required Experience:

• 6 Months Respiratory
