Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa's St. Joseph's Hospital Main is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join a coordinated resuscitation team.

You will rotate through units including Cardiac Surgical, Level II Trauma, Emergency Center and Pediatrics, with a dedicated educator and pay-for-skills opportunities. Responsibilities include delivering Respiratory Care under physician orders, performing invasive and noninvasive procedures, conducting diagnostics, and providing adult critical care

Qualifications

• RRT license and NBRC credential required.
• CPR and ACLS certifications required; NRP within 6 months.
• PALS preferred.
• Experience with NICU and pediatrics preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care under physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures.
• Conducts diagnostic testing and provides adult critical care as needed.

The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care

Certifications and Licensures Required:

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
• PALS (Pediatric) - Preferred

Education Required:

• Technical Respiratory Therapy
• Associate's Respiratory Therapy - Preferred

Experience Required:

• 6 Months Respiratory

Specific Skills Required:

• NICU and Pediatric experience is preferred.
