Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for Winter Haven Hospital. Join a large Tampa Bay health network delivering compassionate respiratory care within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include executing prescribed therapies, diagnostics, and emergency care, with emphasis on pediatric and NICU experience. Requires RRT, NBRC credentials, CPR, and timely completion of NRP/ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License) is required.
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT.
• CPR certification is required.
• NRP within 6 months.
• ACLS within 6 months.
• PALS are required or completed.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal supervision.
• Performs diagnostic testing; provides emergency and adult critical care.

• Shift Hours: 6:30AM - 7:00PM


• Shift: Days


• Weekend Work: Every Other

The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department’s scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities Include

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.


• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.


• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care

Certifications and Licensures

Required

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)


• Active NBRC Credential for RRT


• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)


• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months


• ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
