Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract in a skilled nursing facility, with an option to extend or move to a permanent placement. Shifts are days with multiple schedule options, and pay includes hourly rate plus housing and travel stipends for travelers.

Ideal candidates hold an active Respiratory Therapy license in the state of employment, current BLS/CPR, and are able to meet fitness and TB testing requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapy License in the state of employment.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Current TB test/results.
• Physically fit for duty (within past year).
• Strong leadership and critical thinking capabilities.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care and treatments to patients.
• Assess and monitor respiratory status; adjust treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other staff on care plans.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and treatments.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress.

What We’re Looking For:

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Administer respiratory care and treatments to patients with respiratory illnesses or conditions.
• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, treatments, and techniques for managing symptoms.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress.
