Ascension is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full‑time night shift at AscensionSaint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. You will lead clinical assessments, plan care, and deliver advanced respiratory therapies to stabilize patients during critical windows.

You’ll monitor patient status, communicate high-fidelity data, educate families, and participate in rapid emergency resuscitation. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 accompanies this caring role.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Tennessee driver’s license required.
• Advanced Emergency Medical Tech credential or EMT-B required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Clinical Assessment and Care Planning to tailor plans of care.
• Deliver advanced respiratory modalities and ventilation therapies.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate data for safe care transitions.

• Lead Clinical Assessment and Care Planning Take command of respiratory health by evaluating patient needs and developing tailored plans of care that align with diagnosis and long term recovery goals.

• Master Advanced Respiratory Modalities Deliver expert care using sophisticated ventilation and treatment technologies to stabilize patients and drive superior clinical outcomes during critical windows.

• Champion Real Time Clinical Communication Act as a vital link in the medical team by meticulously monitoring patient conditions and providing high fidelity data to ensure safe and effective care transitions.

• Empower Patients Through Specialized Education Provide compassionate guidance to patients and families regarding their health conditions while connecting them to essential community support and recovery programs.

• Support Rapid Emergency Resuscitation Respond with precision and decisive action as a key member of the emergency code team to provide life saving respiratory interventions during high pressure situations.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Drivers License credentialed from the Tennessee Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Advanced Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Emergency Medical Services Division obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Or Emergency Medical Tech-Basic (EMT-B) required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
