Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for part-time PRN night shifts (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM). The minimum commitment is 24 hours per month, two 12-hour shifts, plus one winter holiday per year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in Indiana.
• CRT certification from NBRC is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems and operate related equipment and medications.

What You'll Do

• Provides respiratory therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems. Arranges and operates a variety of oxygen and other therapeutic gas and aerosolized, meter dosed, or powdered medications to patients. Operates various mechanical devices that aid in the recovery of patients. Cleans and checks equipment regularly for proper functioning and records data obtained during therapy in patient records.

What You'll Need

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Indiana
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board of respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Experience in Critical Care, NICU, Open Heart Recovery, and Bronchoscopy preferred
