Job summary

Merck seeks a Respiratory Sales Specialist for the Lafayette/Lake Charles, LA area to drive product adoption and patient impact. You will build relationships with pulmonologists, nurses, pharmacists, and office staff while traveling in the assigned territory.

The role requires up to 75% travel, a Bachelor’s degree (3+ years in pharma/sales), and the ability to operate remotely within the US market. Competitive compensation includes annual bonus and long-term incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech or equivalent sales experience.
• Experience in specialty pharmacy, distribution channels, and/or HUBs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory-level business plan in alignment with company policies and ethics.
• Promote respiratory products and educate HCPs on appropriate use within the assigned territory.
• Monitor business performance against objectives using company tools.
• Conduct compliant product sales discussions with health care providers and professionals.
• Demonstrate expertise in Patient Access Programs and HUB models.
• Maintain accurate records of HCP interactions in CRM and inform territory planning.
• Provide customers with insights and tailored interactions using training materials.
• Be knowledgeable on approved product information, disease, and marketplace.
