Job summary

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas is recruiting a Respiratory Practitioner III PRN to provide advanced respiratory care in a critical care setting. The role requires assessment, planning, and direct care for patients in the ICU, with opportunities to apply advanced knowledge and leadership within the department.

Ideal candidates will have graduated from an accredited respiratory program, NV state licensure for ABGs, and NBRC/NPS credentials, plus current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Program.
• Licensed by the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners.
• Nevada State license to perform arterial blood gases.
• Registered by the NBRC and the Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (NPS).
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Respiratory Practitioner III demonstrates the advanced knowledge and skill necessary to direct care appropriate to the patients in his/her department. The RCP III demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan, assesses the patients status, and interprets the information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to age-specific needs in the critical care area. Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Program
• Licensed by the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners
• Nevada State license to perform arterial blood gases
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care and the Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (NPS) credential
• Current BLS required
• Current ACLS required
• Current PALS required
• Current NRP required
• Requires one years experience in an acute care facility or freestanding practice with must have current/recent acute care Respiratory Therapist experience within the last six months
• Requires Critical Care and Ventilator Management experience in Adult and Pediatric/Neonatal setting
• Prefer experience with ABGs, EKGs, ICU, preceptor experience, venous puncture, and line maintenance
