Job summary

Binson's in Michigan is hiring for a full-time role to support patients by assisting with respiratory supply selections and purchases, while delivering friendly, professional service. You will process transactions, manage inventory, verify insurance, and ensure orders are accurately documented for efficient care.

The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with base pay of $16.00-$18.00 per hour. A high school diploma and 1–2 years in retail or medical office settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or a medical office setting.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and medical insurance processes is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with empathy and patience.
• Skilled with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assess their medical equipment needs, and recommend appropriate products.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of their durable medical equipment.
• Collect and verify patient demographics, prescriptions, and insurance information.
• Review physician orders for equipment set ups.
• Set up CPAP, BiPAP, and related respiratory equipment.
• Educate patients on proper use, mask fitting, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Demonstrate equipment operation and answer patient questions.
• Ensure patients understand compliance requirements and follow-up procedures.
• Accurately document patient information, equipment serial numbers, and setup details.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
