Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC in Port Saint Lucie, FL is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care across home, office, and hospital environments, ensuring equipment is set up correctly and patients receive optimal care.

You will train new staff, perform preventive maintenance, assist with billing documentation, and maintain HIPAA compliance while coordinating with CPAP/BIPAP program managers and Operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience in construction, general manual labor, military, or equipment repair is considered related experience.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP/BIPAP equipment and masks with clear instructions.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and simple repairs per policy/guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and complete required paperwork accurately.
