Job summary

AdaptHealth in Florida is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive direct and indirect patient care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will support CPAP/BIPAP programs, set up equipment, and ensure accurate documentation and compliant practices.

You will train new staff, troubleshoot equipment, perform maintenance, and help coordinate care with clinicians while adhering to HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience in construction, manual labor, military, or equipment repair.
• Experience in Medicare certified HME environment billing is a plus.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff to provide equipment instruction and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes; contact clinical support when urgent needs arise.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
