Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital settings. You’ll train staff, troubleshoot respiratory equipment, and ensure compliant documentation and billing practices.

Responsibilities include setting up PAP therapy, conducting follow-ups, and maintaining equipment in line with policy. Commitment to HIPAA and quality care is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in construction, general manual labor, military or equipment repair may be considered related experience.
• Medicare certified HME environment that routinely bills insurance experience is considered.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up PAP devices and masks with clear instructions.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and incidents according to policy.
• Maintain knowledge of current Respiratory Programs and HME products.
• Complete all required paperwork including tickets, safety checklists, and documentation for billing.
• Develop reimbursement knowledge for proper documentation for billing.
• Promote services to community referral sources as appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
