Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will set up PAP devices, train patients and families, and assist with maintenance and safety procedures while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high-quality service.

You will collaborate with CPAP/BIPAP managers and drivers, handle documentation, and support reimbursement processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with respiratory therapy or DME is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient confidentiality and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff, CPAP/BIPAP Program Managers, and Operations Managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes; contact clinical support when urgent needs are identified.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and product incidents per policies.
• Maintain knowledge of current Respiratory Programs and HME products/services.
• Complete all required paperwork including delivery tickets, safety checklists, and patient receipts.
