Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.

The role involves administering therapeutic respiratory care procedures, documenting outcomes, and performing diagnostic tests while educating patients and the healthcare team. PA licensure and CRT certification are required, with preferred RRT and 2 years hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to expiration of TPP.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures per department policies (55%).
• Completes documentation to measure and monitor department effectiveness (20%).
• Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures as per policies (20%).
• Provides instruction to patients and healthcare team as needed (5%).
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
