Job summary

The Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include administering therapeutic respiratory procedures, documenting for charting and billing, performing diagnostic respiratory procedures, educating patients and healthcare staff, and performing other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• PA Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) NBRC required before TPP expiration.
• RRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.
• Completes documentation for charting, billing, IPOC and patient/family education.
• Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies.
• Provides instruction to patients and other healthcare team members as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
