Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide assessment, treatment, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.

Responsibilities include administering therapeutic respiratory care procedures, documenting outcomes, performing diagnostic procedures, and educating patients and staff. Licensing and CRT certification are required, with potential alignment to hospital protocols and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required prior to expiration of the TPP.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (55%)
• Completes documentation required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness (e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education). (20%)
• Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies. (20%)
• Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed. (5%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
