Job summary

Kindred Hospital Westminster is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to administer safe respiratory care, monitor ventilation, assess patients and collaborate with the care team. The role includes airway management, ABG sampling, device troubleshooting, and patient education in a long-term acute care setting.

Responsibilities include documentation, order verification, participation in rounds, and training of new staff.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) from an accredited respiratory therapy program (Required)
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program (Required)
• Fluent English communication and ability to work under stress in clinical settings

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care procedures per policy across hospital settings
• Document and update patient plans of care and charge capture accurately
• Verify physician orders and manage respiratory equipment and devices
• Assist in airway management, ventilation, ABG sampling and analysis
• Provide patient and family education and participate in rounds and teaching
• Support orientation and training of new staff and students
