Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver clinical respiratory services and equipment management in patients' homes or contracted facilities.

The role includes handling day-to-day orders, educating patients on equipment use and safety, and performing diagnostic testing in collaboration with physicians. Active NBRC credential, BLS, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• RRT or CRT credential with NBRC credential and BLS.
• Active driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong clinical skills for home care settings.

Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day orders for respiratory therapy and follow up on visits.
• Educate patients and caregivers on setup, use, maintenance and safety of respiratory equipment.
• Perform diagnostic testing as directed by the physician.
• Communicate with the physician to clarify orders or patient response to care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Location: Varies
• Status: POOL, Exempt: No
• Shift Hours: 8:00AM-5:30PM

The Respiratory Care Practitioner service patients in their home/contracted facility by providing either clinical respiratory services or equipment management services on a scheduled visit/appointment or through on-call notification.

Responsibilities:

• Completing day to day orders called into the Respiratory Therapy Department and follow up on visits for apnea monitor and or ventilator patients, in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Education of patient and caregivers regarding set up, use, maintenance and safety of respiratory therapy equipment in the home.
• Performs diagnostic testing on behalf of the physician.
• Communication with the patient's physician regarding clarification of orders or the patient's response to care may be required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Certifications and Licensures Required:

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License) OR CRT welcomed for review
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• BLS
• Active Drivers License

Education Required:

• Technical Respiratory Therapy
• Associate's Respiratory Therapy
