Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner III at St. Joseph Warren Hospital in Ohio.

You will provide comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator management and patient education, while coordinating with the care team on a 32-hour weekly schedule (Days/Evenings) with rotating weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include clinical instruction, leadership within the department, data collection, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of respiratory care procedures and patient assessment capabilities.
• Ability to provide clinical instruction and mentorship to staff and students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and plan/implement respiratory care interventions.
• Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and related equipment.
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory therapies and procedures.
• Act as Charge Therapist to coordinate staffing and ensure patient coverage.
