Zusammenfassung

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a patient care assistant to provide direct patient care on the inpatient unit, assist with non-direct patient care coordination, and support RNs in caring for patients in stable condition.

You will perform basic nursing procedures, document in the electronic medical record, help with admissions and transfers, and participate in safety and hygiene initiatives to maintain a clean, respectful environment.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED; 1 year experience as PCA/PCT/NA/LPN/EMT or related in acute or long-term care.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with electronic medical records.
• CPR certification; background clearances (Act 34/33/73 FBI) and HIPAA/privacy compliance.

Aufgaben

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities (ADLs, vital signs, I&O, etc.).
• Accurately documents vitals, weights, I&O, and treatments in the EMR.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers; supports RN and care team.
• Maintains a safe, clean patient environment and participates in quality initiatives.
