Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ is hiring an Education and Clinical Specialist for the Respiratory Care Department. You will partner with leadership to deliver training, advise on clinical practices, and support staff and students in delivering high-quality patient care.

Role focuses on educational programs, competency validation, and implementation of clinical initiatives while ensuring regulatory standards. Evening/night/weekend flexibility may be required to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• Accredited respiratory therapy program completed.
• AS degree required; BS required or to be completed within 2 years.
• NBRC RRT credential and AZ RRT license required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical and educational resource for respiratory care staff and teams.
• Lead education, training, and competency validation initiatives.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory activities.
• Mentor staff and students; participate in onboarding and orientation.
• Assist in implementing new technology, workflows, and clinical programs.
• Promote continuous learning and excellence in patient care.
