Purpose

Provide targeted, evidence-based reading intervention and support to students who are below grade‑level in reading or who require specialized instruction to meet literacy goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess students’ reading levels using research-approved screening and diagnostic tools.
• Develop and implement individualized and small‑group intervention plans based on assessment data.
• Deliver explicit, systematic instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
• Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instruction using data‑driven decision‑making.
• Collaborate with classroom teacher and families to coordinate supports and share strategies.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and participate in parent/teacher meetings.
• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment and promote student engagement and independence.

Qualifications
