The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health Department) seeks a Director of Resource Management to lead procurement, budgeting, and fiscal operations for the Bureau of Facilities Planning and Administrative Services. You will oversee contract management, payments, and vendor relations to ensure cost-effective delivery of public health facilities and services.

Formación

• Master's degree or higher in economics, finance, accounting, business, public administration or related field with relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree plus three years of professional experience in budget/financial administration or related areas.
• Associates degree with five years of experience in the specified fields.
• High school diploma plus seven years of professional experience in budget/financial administration.

Responsabilidades

• Manage staff that create MWBE and other purchase requests for repairs, renovations, and upgrades.
• Monitor major service contracts and coordinate work orders and funding encumbrances.
• Facilitate payments by collaborating with Budget and Contracts staff and vendor offices.
• Assist vendors in submitting documents to support invoices for payment.
• Meet with vendors regularly to resolve payment issues and provide status reconciliations.
• Map out project portfolios and develop monitoring strategies to reduce accruals and improve payments.
