Job summary

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks an Associate Staff Analyst to oversee procurement-related duties, invoice processing, and contract administration for Agency spaces and upgrades. The role supports budget, procurement, and financial systems to ensure timely payments and compliance.

Qualified candidates will have extensive experience with NYC procurement rules, contract management, and staff supervision within a public health or government context.

Qualifications

• Master's degree, or
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of related professional experience in budget or financial administration
• Associate degree with 5 years experience in budget/finance roles

Responsibilities

• Lead staff managing MWBE and purchase requests for repairs and upgrades.
• Monitor major service contracts and coordinate work orders and funding encumbrances.
• Collaborate with Budget and Contracts to facilitate payments and vendor invoicing.
• Coordinate submission of supporting documents for payment processing.
• Meet with vendors to resolve payment issues and provide status updates.
• Map project portfolios with Directors to monitor and reduce accruals and ensure timely payments.
