Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a senior procurement leader to run indirect spend strategy across the system, optimizing cost and ensuring compliant supplier relations.

You will partner with senior leadership to drive strategic sourcing, contract management, and performance reporting, while building a high-performing team focused on continuous improvement within a large public health care system in New York.

Qualifications

• Six years of satisfactory, full-time responsible experience in information processing, program management, systems development or related activity in a large governmental agency, hospital or health care facility, or hospital-related business firm.
• Three years of which must have been in a managerial capacity.
• A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the indirect procurement function and develop a comprehensive strategy to optimize spend across diverse non-clinical categories.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with organizational goals and operational priorities.
• Oversee contracting, monitor contract compliance, and manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal pricing, service levels, and risk mitigation.
• Drive cost-savings initiatives while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
• Develop operating procedures, internal policies, and training guides to support consistent procurement practices.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage risks, and report on KPIs related to savings and process efficiency.
