Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a paid internship with the Northern Power Company Resource Planning team in Minneapolis, MN. You will support resource planning workstreams, assist with modeling inputs, prepare presentation materials, and help evaluate bids for long-term capacity and energy resources.

This internship starts May 24, 2027, with hybrid work options and potential extension based on performance. You must be a current student enrolled in a relevant program and able to work full-time in summer

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in finance, economics, operations research, mathematics, business, data analytics, or engineering.
• Ability to work full-time during summer and part-time during school year per hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Support resource planning workstreams and NSP expansion plan development.
• Gather input assumptions for modeling and assist in preparing materials for executive review.
• Contribute to bid evaluations and data analysis for long-term capacity and energy resources.
