Xcel Energy Inc. invites applications for an entry-level Resource Planning Analyst internship in Colorado.

You will study the PSCo electric system, explore generating technologies, and support the development of an electric resource plan prioritizing safe, clean, reliable, and affordable energy for Xcel’s customers. The role offers exposure to regulatory filings, energy modeling, and collaboration with multiple departments, with a May 31, 2027 start date and potential extension based on

Qualifications

• Current student, junior or higher enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, Mathematics, or Business.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week) or part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week) at the designated in-person work location as per hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Supporting regulatory filings

• Development of resource plans and large-scale power plant (generation) RFPs
• Other ad hoc projects and assignments
