Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Resource Manager to optimize staffing for a large, multi‑task Agile program in Chantilly, VA. You will partner with the PMO, Program Manager, and leads to ensure staffing and training plans support contract baselines and program success.

You will manage capacity data across six task orders, coordinate onboarding and backfills, monitor surge needs, and align MVI scheduling with release calendars.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in information technology, or information management, or eight years of comparable work experience.
• TS/SCI with Polygraph
• 5+ years of experience in a fast‑paced Agile development environment
• 5+ years of experience leading teams with demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement significant strategic initiatives.
• Experience deploying enterprise‑wide reporting tools and visualizations
• Experience coordinating schedules, workflows, and cross‑team planning
• Skilled in backlog management and documentation

Responsibilities

• Maintain staffing rosters and role mapping for all task orders.
• Coordinate with Talent Acquisition, Internal Mobility, HR and Security for onboarding/offboarding/backfills.
• Provide staffing and capacity reports to PMO leadership (fill rates, utilization trends, training status).
• Oversee training planning and track completion across contract personnel.
• Maintain capacity profiles for each team and adjust staffing for new task orders or scope changes.
• Manage master MVI scheduling across task orders and align with release calendars.
• Forecast surge needs by monitoring backlog growth and production incidents.
• Identify staff for temporary reallocation to surges without impacting core work.
