Job summary

South Washington County Schools seeks a High Needs/Resource Special Ed Paraprofessional for Woodbury Elementary School to support instruction and behavior management under the supervision of a licensed special education teacher.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and familiarity with district procedures. Starting pay is $22.70 per hour with potential for a $0.50 increase after qualification. The position follows the school calendar.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to reinforce math, reading, and writing skills.
• Familiarity with district and state requirements for paraeducators.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and/or behavioral support to special education students.
• Collaborate daily with licensed special education teachers.
• Assist with academic tasks and adapt instructional materials as needed.
• Support students with diverse needs, including managing daily living activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
• Document student data as directed by supervising teacher.
