Job summary

South Washington County Schools is seeking a High Needs/Resource Special Ed Paraprofessional at Woodbury High School in Minnesota. The role supports students under a licensed teacher, with a 6.5-hour day from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The starting base pay is $22.70 per hour, with a potential $.50/hour raise for Highly Qualified status. Starting January 5, 2027.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to meet District 833 Highly Qualified requirements.
• Competencies per Minnesota/state requirements for paraprofessionals.
• Ability to support reading, writing, and math in classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Consult daily with licensed special education teacher regarding daily responsibilities.
• Assist with implementing district policies and procedures, including safety and confidentiality.
• Assist students in academic areas such as reading, writing or math under supervision.
• Support students with learning challenges and behavioral needs, including daily living activities as needed.
• Monitor and document student behavior and use positive behavior supports when appropriate.
• Collect and record student data as directed and share with supervising teacher.
