Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Dispatch Associate in Missouri to determine the safest, most efficient way to deploy employees and equipment to project sites. You will receive and manage service requests, dispatch staff with the right skills, and coordinate with field units to balance workloads.

Key responsibilities include prioritizing projects, relaying instructions to stakeholders, maintaining equipment calibration and training records, and upholding safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use technology (mobile apps, email, scheduling software).

• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Answer and manage incoming calls and dispatch employees with appropriate skills or certifications to precise locations at necessary times.
• Prioritize projects and manage logistics (equipment, internal logistics) according to urgency and importance.
• Relay information and instruction to employees, managers, labs and project stakeholders as appropriate.
• Maintain communication with field units to coordinate and prioritize schedules day-to-day.
• Dispatch in a safe manner consistent with Terracon’s guidelines to keep employees' safety first.
• Be responsible for equipment inventory and ensuring technicians are properly equipped.
• Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Assist with keeping technician training records up to date and filed.
• Communicate effectively with customers, employees, and leaders.
• Use materials dashboard, CMELMS and other tools to distribute employees and balance workload.
• Perform other office duties and work with others to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate between regional offices to cover projects.
• Manage resource conflicts among employees, clients and leadership using negotiation strategies.
• Follow safety rules and report any issues; perform pre-task planning.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
