TTUHSC in Lubbock, Texas, is seeking a Part Time Clinical Assistant to support SOM Clinics during daytime hours. You will perform direct patient care, obtain records and assist with treatments under supervision, helping coordinate care with the team to ensure smooth visits.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, assisting patients and families, and maintaining a safe, efficient clinic environment. A High School diploma or equivalent and relevant certification are required, with paid time

Visa Information

Position Description

Employees in this classification provide patient care management toan assigned clinic in the areas of clerical and clinical duties. Inthe clinical setting, the employee receives direct supervision froma physician or nursing supervisor in either oral or written form.In the office setting, the employee receives direct supervisionfrom the department administrator. Work is performed under usualoffice and clinic conditions, and may be stressful when workingunder emergency conditions. This position must be supervised by aRegistered Nurse. This job is to be used in the Resource ClinicalAssistant pool only.

Major/Essential Functions

• Direct patient care, including but not limited to obtainingrecords, chief complaint interventions, performing treatments, andaccurate obtainment of vital signs as indicated.
• Assisting patients, families, and team with care, includingcoordination of care, for patients.
• Prepare rooms and area for continued care of patients.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.

License/Certification: Graduation from an approved certifiedprogram for assistants in the area of required specialty.Certification by an approved accredited certifying agency in thespecialty in which the particular work will be performed.
