Job summary

Port Ludlow Resort is seeking a part-time server to ensure guests receive courteous, professional dining service. You will know our menu and wine list, take and relay orders accurately, and help the kitchen staff with guest requests while upholding our mission and values.

The role requires a current food handler’s permit (and liquor permits or the ability to obtain), at least 2 years in food service, and the ability to operate a cash register system. Weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Must have current food handler’s permit and liquor permits, or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 2 years prior food service experience in a similar position.
• Capable of operating the computerized cash register system.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team and independently.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and promptly.
• Describe menu and beverages and take orders accurately.
• Serve guests quickly and clear courses per standards.
• Process payments accurately and promptly.
• Be knowledgeable of menu items and offer recommendations.
• Complete side work and shift end duties.
• Keep dining area clean and organized per policies.
• Perform check reconciliations and bank drops correctly.
• Adhere to the company’s mission, vision and values.
