Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across resort grounds and facilities. The role supports guest experiences by ensuring cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal, including site setups for arrivals and departures.

Responsibilities include irrigation, landscaping, playgrounds, pools, and equipment maintenance, with on-call availability and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in maintenance experience preferred.
• General knowledge of maintenance techniques and repair work.
• Ability to endure outdoor work in seasonal temperatures.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment and basic machinery.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash, perform maintenance or repair duties using tools and equipment.
• Complete minor repairs to rental units and facilities as needed.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs (plumbing, sewage, construction, street repair).
• Inspect irrigation system and perform repairs as needed.
• Inspect playgrounds, pool/spa areas, and recreational amenities; perform small repairs.
• Ensure resort presents a welcoming appearance and adheres to curb appeal standards.
• Perform lawn care tasks including weed control, mulching and trimming shrubs.
• Remove trash from common areas daily and maintain cleanliness of resort grounds.
• Clean resort amenities like clubhouses, restrooms and maintenance garages.
• Maintain vacant sites and remove debris; ensure safety of access routes.
• Remove snow from streets and lots where applicable; may operate plow trucks.
• Inspect RVs and park models prior to sale for cleanliness and condition.
• Complete site condition checklists before/after guest occupancy.
• Assist Resort Manager with supervising service contractors; report issues.
