Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking Resort Maintenance Technicians to perform routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep for resort properties. You will maintain grounds, facilities, and utility systems while delivering excellent guest service and assisting with site setups for arrivals and departures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, outdoor work ability in varying seasons, and proficiency with hand tools and power equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months of maintenance experience preferred.
• Broad knowledge of general maintenance techniques and repair work.
• Ability to work outdoors in seasonal temperatures.
• Knowledge of janitorial, plumbing and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power equipment and machinery.
• Ability to produce legible written reports.
• Works independently and in a team; on-call availability.
• Must lift at least 50 pounds; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and perform maintenance or repair duties with hand tools.
• Complete minor repairs to rental units and facilities.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs (plumbing, sewage, etc).
• Inspect irrigation systems and adjust as needed.
• Inspect playgrounds, pools, and amenities; perform minor repairs.
• Maintain resort appearance according to curb appeal standards.
• Perform lawn care: weeds, mulch, trimming, debris removal.
• Ensure resort streets and access routes are hazard-free.
• Maintain resort vehicles and equipment; follow safety procedures.
• Assist Resort Manager with supervision of service contractors.
