Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across Sun’s resorts in Avon Park, FL. Responsibilities include repairs to rental units, irrigation and landscape care, and upkeep of resort amenities to ensure curb appeal.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, outdoor work readiness, and ability to lift 50 pounds, with on-call availability for resort needs. Competitive pay and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in maintenance experience in campground or RV resort (Preferred)
• Broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
• Able to work outdoors in seasonal temperatures
• General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenance
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
• Able to write legible reports and work well independently or in a team
• Must lift at least 50 pounds and be available on-call for resort needs

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and perform maintenance or repair duties using hand tools and power equipment.
• Complete minor repairs to rental units and facilities as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs including plumbing and street repair.
• Inspect irrigation systems and repair as necessary.
• Inspect playgrounds, pools, and recreational areas and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain resort grounds by weed control, mulching, and trimming shrubs.
